Meet the Committee

Artistic Director
Daniel Cope
From the moment I first stepped onto the DLT stage around 8 years ago, I knew this theatre was my home. Now, as Artistic Director, I'm thrilled to share that passion with our community. My focus is on fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where creativity flourishes, and stories resonate deeply. I believe in the power of theatre to ignite imaginations, build connections, and provide a platform for diverse voices. Whether we're tackling classic plays or exploring contemporary works, my goal is to create memorable experiences that leave our audiences, performers and members inspired.

Bar Manager
Jed Finnigan
I have been attending plays at DLT for over 20 years and am a keen fan of the theatre, both amateur and professional. As for getting involved with DLT, that happened about 13 years ago. I enjoy helping with props and greeting our customers at the bar when doing front of house. I have recently taken over the reins of House Manager, which basically means keeping everyones whistle well and truly wetted. Away from theatre, I also enjoy running, hiking and birdwatching.

Company Stage Manager
Michelle Cooke
I’m really boring in real life so I love the drama of theatre, as I’ve been murdered several times, kidnapped, learned how to tap dance, been jilted by my fiancé, been a pink lady and a court jester, and found my long lost father. My first acting role was Mary in 1988’s production of The Nativity at St Paul’s Primary School.

Front of House Manager
Jayne Skudder
I first came to DLT as a youth group member-many moons ago. I was inspired so much, that I went on to do my degree in Drama and was brought back into the fold by the late Joan Cooper, who urged me to do a play. Many plays later, I'm still part of the DLT family and I also run Manchester Theatre Academy- youth theatre- to pave the way for our next generation. Over the years I have been part of the committee in several roles- Membership Secretary, Marketing, Secretary and now as Front of House Manager. It's great to be able to put something back in to a society, from which I have taken so much pleasure being a part of. If you would like to get involved in volunteering at DLT, please do get in touch, we would love to hear from you. Without our valued volunteers, the show would not go on.

Marketing Manager
Billy Power
With DLT since childhood through Manchester Theatre Academy, I now serve as Marketing Manager, promoting productions, engaging audiences, and helping the theatre grow for the next generation.

Membership Secretary
Amy Evans
I have been the DLT membership manager for over 10 years, and a member for even longer. Taking on many roles on and off stage over this time It really has been like a second family.

Production Coordinator
Pete Curran
I have been involved in amateur theatre for as long as I can remember. I have directed shows, treaded the boards many times at various societies. I first came to DLT as a seven year old many years ago and it only took me 40 odd years to return! Now I have the honour of directing shows, and coordinating productions for DLT, working alongside the stage crew, tech crew, actors and directors. I enjoy being an active member of the DLT committee.

Secretary
Lorraine Hall
My first role in DLT was up in the tech box doing the sound for Nude with Violin and I was hooked. I've dabbled on the stage playing a pole dancer , a prostitute to Scrooge and have done lights, props even stage manager. There is always something to do and it's very rewarding and fun.

Social Secretary
Tracy Ireland
I’ve been at Droylsden Little Theatre for a very long time, and am happiest when up a ladder with an emulsion brush, preparing the set for each production. My role is a varied one: working with the Technical Director and Production Coordinator as a point of liaison for the set build crew, organising social events, hosting arts and crafts workshops, and coordinating working parties. I also contribute to fundraising efforts and bidding for grants alongside our Treasurer. Performing is not my thing, but you’ll often find me at our productions serving behind the bar, so do come and say hello if you have an idea for a social event.

Technical Manager
Keiran Daly
I'm the new kid on the block, having only been a member of DLT since October 2024, and even more worryingly, I don't have any background in theatre productions.
My background is from a degree in filmmaking, and I'm hoping that my different background can bring a unique flair to future DLT productions.

Ticket Secretary & Chair
Claire White
I've been a member of D.L.T. since 2002 when I played Bertha Treecott in 'Accrington Pals', I must have enjoyed myself as I am still here. I have held a few posts on the committee but currently my role is that of Ticket Secretary, liaising with the public and trying to make the booking process as smooth as possible for everyone. When I'm not sat behind my box office you can still find me treading the boards though.

Treasurer
Trudy Collins
I’ve been the Treasurer at DLT since 2017 after many years coming to watch my lovely friend and fellow committee member, Amy, on stage. She managed to convince me to take on the role and I’ve felt like part of the DLT family ever since.
I’m a Chartered Accountant so our members can trust that I’ll look after the money and ensure everything is properly recorded. But you’ll never find me on the stage - I have recurring nightmares about this!! Instead you’ll find me volunteering front of house as often as I can.
