Theatre Gets A Lift – Literally
The community of Droylsden, is today celebrating the news that it has received a £11,800 funding boost from SITA Trust to provide a platform lift at Droylsden Little Theatre
Droylsden Little Theatre is incredibly honoured to be ending its 80th Season with the fabulous news that it has received a major funding boost from SITA Trust. This is the culmination of many dedicated hours of hard work seeking out and securing grant funding, to enable the final piece of the theatres re-development plans to come to fruition. It means that when the public return for its 81st season in October, for the first time in the theatre’s long history, it will truly be an access for all venue, providing quality, affordable, community theatre.
Jools Granville of SITA Trust said ” It is a pleasure to be able to help this fantastic community theatre make its venue more accessible to a wide range of people. The snazzy new lift will transport wheelchairs, pushchairs and those who are just a little less steady on their feet; enabling so many more people to enjoy the magic of theatre.”
SITA Trust provides funding through the Landfill Communities Fund. Funding is available for projects that enhance communities and enrich nature.
